Restaurant review NYC The New York Burger Co: 678 6th Av

Disclaimer! I did not seek this one out. I was out with my friend, when we succumbed to a moment of weakness.
It was a rainy slippery evening down 6th avenue. The perfect rush hour made the evening even more unbearable so both my friend and I decided to stop and look for a shelter. We passed New York Burger Co and mumbled to ourselves, a big warm burger sounds just about right. With a meaningful stare at each other we stepped into the shop.

Imagine big ads of juicy burgers as you step into the shop (in your case no need to imagine as I took the pictures for you!)

I was in a healthy mood so I decided to give their turkey burger a shot. I was warned by the lovely waitress that the burger is going to be big so if you are not that hungry, skip the fries! She handed me my receipt #48. Off I went to the side, waiting in vain for my burger.

“Number 48” he said.
“That’s me!!” I jumped off my seat and grabbed my burger.
He smiled and pointed to the right where all the sauces are. From barbeque to spicy sauce. You name it, they have it. I grabbed my ketchup and the barbeque sauce. The burger felt warm in my hands. “Hurry” I commanded myself to grab a seat.
Voila!
I pick it up for the first bite and never put it down because I just can’t stop eating it, even for a minute. The burger was good and cooked to the right temperature. The patty was very tasty. In addition to that, the bun was great, perfectly buttered and perfectly soft. And to tell you honestly, I sit there and eye everyone else at the table, wondering if they might not finish, and I might get a few more bites. I even thought about ordering a second burger, and I’ve even tried to convince Joan to split it with me.
So what makes it so good? Well, first, it was cooked the way I ordered it so it was cooked medium rare. And I think it must have been their cooking method as the burger ends up nice and grilled, and even a little crisp on the outside, but all the juices are perfectly sealed inside. Nothing drips out onto the fire, just on your plate, and in your mouth.
